Wet Blasting

With our water injection system we can add water while blasting.

Wet blasting is one of many media blasting services Clean ‘N Seal provides. Wet blasting, similar to dry blasting, uses compressed air and an abrasive media to remove a variety of materials from a surface. Clean ‘N Seal uses a variety of abrasive media when using wet blasting systems and this is determined by the substrate and the material to be removed.

While the main advantage to wet blasting is that it keeps dust to a minimum, other advantages include adding rust inhibitors to the water which prevents flash rusting and on a thin metal project it helps keep the heat down to prevent warping.

Wet blasting can’t be used for every application nor is it the best option for some blasting projects. We can determine whether using wet blasting is an option during our free project evaluation.

Some of the items that wet blasting may be used to clean prior to painting or sealing are:

  • Concrete
  • Sidewalks
  • Antique Woodwork
  • Industrial Equipment
  • Asphalt
  • Decks and Patios
  • Boats
  • Automobiles
  • Aircraft
