Broken, cracked, sunken or heaved pavers? We are here to help!
There are numerous causes for this, but the most common ones are:
- Incorrect based work or edging restraint
- Sub-soil settling
- Insects or rodents
- Tree roots
- Lack of joint sand between pavers which can allow water to migrate beneath the pavers. This can lead to under-mining your pavers base.
- Heavy traffic or impacts
Each situation may have a slightly different repair method.
Generally speaking, we remove the pavers in affected area(s) to diagnose the cause. We then remove the bedding sand, make necessary corrections to the compacted base and install new bedding sand.
The pavers are then re-laid and vibratory compacted.
